12/05/2006: "Morrissey gig"

The move to my new apartment has been completed. I have moved to the city centre which means no more early wake up calls so that i can get a parking space at the Uni. Christmas still seems very far away given that I still need to finish work for my Book on top of lectures that i have to prepare, papers to submit and projects to supervise. A highlight taht should not go without mention is that I saw Morrissey last night at the Arena. Depressing songs :-) was just what i needed. I used to follow Smith's music in school and i always wanted to see them live. Don't know why it took so long to get to attend one of his gigs, given that I spent part of my late teens and early adulthood in Manchester. Anyway, he played a lot of Smith's songs, his newest single as well some songs from the last album. The downside was that the concert did not last very long. it is in fact the 2nd concert in a row that I attend, where the artist walks off! I dont know exactly what happened but the whole thing lasted about 85 minutes. It was totally worth it.
