12/18/2006: "The week before christmas..."

Everyone around here (i.e. friends and collegues) seems to have been given up the idea of doing any work the last week before Christmas and me generally not being eager to stand out I followed suit. I completed my teaching last week for the M.Sc SDIA course and I have been taking it easy (to some extent) since then. I have a lot of traveling to do throughout January and I will spend some of the Christmas break working for that. So I am trying to arrange my flights for Seattle for my meeting with the securiyt team at Microsoft as well as a short visit to New York to see it dressed in snow. :p I will be spending the holidays with family which I am meeting next weekend. That reminds me that i am behind with presents and need to catch up.

Out of the blue, I went to see Iron Maiden which played in Newcastle last night. I don't know what got into me but i did. They played the new album in its entirety which meant that I hardly knew any of the songs and by the time they finished playing those, they only had time for 5 oldies. So was it worth it? Yeah…….

Finally, being a Futurama fan I feel obliged to post this interview by David Cohen about the forthcoming episodes next year. I look forward to those.
