04/13/2007: "Easter Week"
I took a month off from my blogging activities and as such I have gathered a lot of material worthy of publication. I will add a few entries today and save some for later. I have been travelling quite a bit having visited Edinburgh a couple of times and Paris. I went to Edinburgh to particiapte in the All Hands Meeting that hosted a series of lectures from new eScience pilot programs. I particularly enjoyed the talk of David Chadwick with whom I had a chance to meet and catch up, as well as the talk on the new Message project that aims to utilise the GRID in order to resolve traffic jam issues in London. All talks are available online. On the 31st of March I travelled to Paris ( as I'd done last year on the same dates) where I stayed in Bastille and caught up with my sister. We spend the weekend visiting some of the sites of Paris and generally wondering around. It was good and time flew quickly.
a day later the rest of teh famiglia came over to Newcastle. So, I spent Easter with my brother and his fiancee. We had a blast visiting all the sites of Newcastle and neighboring cities. On Easter Sunday we had a meal at the Greek restaurant in South Sheilds along with other Greek friends that had to spend Easter in the UK for some reason or other. They also managed to pursuade me to go to church, something I hadn't done in years; probably since I was 17.
Coming back to work this week was hard after all the lazying around, but the OGF is just in a couple of weeks time and i have to deliver and impress my colleagues at MS, but more about that later...speak soon...
